School Meals

School meals cost £2.20 and are freshly made each day. Our healthy and nutritious lunches are cooked using fresh ingredients on our school site by our experienced catering team. ISS Catering provide our school lunches and they ensure that all food produced meets the Governmental Nutritional Standards as well as the Food Based Standards.

School meals are planned on a 3 week cycle and always contain 2 choices including a vegetarian option. Children can also help themselves to our salad bar and bread. ISS Catering provide taster sessions for parents - look out for the next session.

Parents can register children and book meals at www.feedinghungryminds.co.uk

If your child has moved from Year 2 to Year 3 this year, we very much hope they will continue having a school meal even though they have to be paid for, as they are healthy and nutritious and represent excellent value. If you have any questions about school meals or the booking system, please contact the ISS Catering helpline on 0844 583 5754.

If your child has a specific dietary need for a medical reason we would be delighted to provide them with a bespoke special diet menu. Please let ISS Catering know of any dietary needs by completing the forms below:

Pack Lunches – What you need to know

Eating well is important. Children need to eat well as it will give them energy and nutrients to grow and develop, be healthy and active. A healthy, enjoyable lunch gives children the energy they need to learn and play at school.

Use the information in this leaflet to help make your child a healthier packed lunch.

Snacks

The school understands that healthy snacks can be an important part of the diet of young people.

In the Early Years, Reception and Years 1 and 2 children are provided with a piece of fruit or vegetable provided by the NHS free fruit and vegetable scheme.

Children in KS2 are able to bring their own healthy snack into school to eat at break-times. Crisps and sweets are not allowed.

Drinks

The school provides water or free milk for all children at lunchtimes. Under 5s are provided with milk as part of the Government’s free milk scheme.

Children are encouraged to bring in their own water bottle which can be re-filled during the day. There are several water fountains in the playground and the school building.
