Outdoor Learning

Our Outdoor Learning Week has been exciting and different.

The Year 6’s estimated the number of blades of grass in the front ‘lawn’, then devised methods using area calculations to work out an answer. How many blades are there Year 6? The Nature and Gardening Club had a very relaxing ‘picnic’ lunch under the willow dome and other chosen outdoor spots. They spotted and photographed hover flies, beetles, bees and an unidentifiable green winged insect. Nursery have been running very fast outside and feeling for their beating hearts. Most recovered much more quickly than the adults’! Thank you Mrs Walsh for organising the week.
