Friday 14 July
We are still buzzing after our first performance of ‘Around the World in Eighty Days’! Over the last two weeks we have been doing lots of preparation for the show and it was very exciting to see it all come together for the first time on Wednesday night. Our tasks have included making and painting both 2D and 3D scenery, creating dozens of props, designing, sewing (sometimes gluing!) and glittering our costumes, learning our lines, lots of singing practice and much, much more. (And that is just a fraction of what Lin has done to help us - we are very grateful to her).
Despite being so busy with the show, we have all had a chance to spend at least one day at our new secondary schools. The canteens, classrooms, sports and new people to befriend have all made a big impression and are helping us to look forward to starting our new schools after the summer holidays.
Now we are going to get some rest ready for our final performance tonight. We hope you enjoy the show!
