Hindleap Warren 5SD Sept '15
Monday 28th September
The children have now left the school winging their way to East Sussex for what promises to be an exciting week. The weather looks great for the week, but please don't worry as I am told that there is still lots of mud to enjoy.
The children and staff have arrived safely at Hindleap Warren after a good coach journey. They are looking forward to a fun week of activities. They have begun the challenge of putting a duvet cover on a duvet!
Tuesday 29th September
It was a very quiet night last night as the children were tired from an afternoon of activities including kayaking plus an evening swimming session for the class in the pool. It was unsurprising that most children fell asleep straight away.
They are experiencing similar weather as to here and have several exciting activities today to enjoy including high adventure and archery. They are all looking forward to the evening activity of a night walk tonight. I think there will be a few tired children tonight. The children are having a lovely time and are clearly enjoying it.
Wednesday 30th September
It was another busy day yesterday with the children enjoying the various activities undertaken, particularly the archery - I think there are a few children with a very good aim. The high adventure was great fun with the children pushing themselves to achieve beyond their targets.
Today the children have more activities to complete in their groups in the morning followed by Forest Adventure in the afternoon. This promises to be anaother lovely day with ever so slightly more mud than yesterday!
Thursday 1st October
The children thoroughly loved the forest adventure yesterday and apparently the children were so plastered in mud that you couldn't tell who was who! The pictures look amazing - these will be displayed on this page early next week.
Despite being exhausted from the day's activities, the children enjoyed performing in the evening Talent Show. Lots of different acts were on show including comedy, singing, football skills, riddles, jokes, diablo skills and many more!
The children have a full day of activities planned for today with group activities in the morning followed by map reading and orienteering in the afternoon. The evening will comprise of packing (best of luck) and trying to locate a clean set of clothes for tomorrow which may prove to be quite a challenge for some children. There will be a circle time to discuss achievements. See you tomorrow.
Friday 2nd October
The children managed to pack all of their belongings (even the muddy ones) and are waiting for the coach in the sunshine. They are looking forward to home but sad to leave. The scheduled arrival time is 11.00am at the front of the school and any change to this time we will broadcast through ParentMail.
