Just like that another year at St Luke’s is over! The children in Year 4 have worked really hard this year and it has been wonderful to see their engagement and enthusiasm for the topics we have covered.
A definite highlight of the year has to be our trip to Sayers Croft. For many of the children it was their first time away from home but what an adventure we had! The children took part in exciting activities such as archery, bouldering and orienteering. They showed great team work skills throughout the trip.
In January, we were lucky enough to visit Kew Gardens. This really helped with our Rainforest topic and it was fascinating to see some plants in the Palm House that you would find in the rainforests around the world.
We had an interesting visit from Ale’s parents (real life dentists!) to further our knowledge of teeth. May saw us take a trip to the Haslemere museum where we took part in a mummification workshop and even saw a real life mummy!
This final half of term has kept us busy: Sports Day, Ancient Egyptian Day and of course Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
Have a fantastic summer holiday!
