Welcome to the NURSERY

Below is our most recent blog from the Nursery.  This includes a summary of the last two weeks including any important information for the coming weeks (reminders etc).  These will be updated every other Friday.

Friday 22^nd September 2023

Welcome to our first Nursery blog of the year! It has been lovely to see our returning families and welcoming our new children and their families to our Nursery. The children have all settled exceptionally well, meeting and playing with new friends, learning our rules and routines and having lots of fun in and out of the classroom.

We kicked off this academic year with our topic of ‘Marvellous Me’ where we have learnt more about ourselves. Our current focus texts are ‘Super Duper You’ by Sophy Henn and ‘The Colour Monster’ by Anna Llenas. We can confidently name different parts of our bodies, talk about our feelings and what we can do to make our class a happy environment. The children had brilliant suggestions about how to be a good friend by sharing and taking turns with the toys. All of the children have painted a self-portrait, using a mirror to closely look at their facial features which are now proudly displayed on the classroom wall.
