Friday 29th September 2023

It was really lovely to meet so many of our parents at our Parent Meeting this Tuesday, and to share our information with you about your child’s school life, routines and important aspects of Reception housekeeping! Please look on the school website for all that was covered.

The children are settling well, hence we have brought forward our morning entry routine to this week, this is great news!

Our first topic: Celebrating our World, has been a busy one so far having created amazing self portraits, personalising a mirror, starting formal phonics sessions and now having to get ‘the police’ involved with some classroom misdemeanours! Raven, our class puppet, had some of her belongings taken from her so Parrot, (who had clearly made a red choice), was firmly spoken to by a large team of 28 police officers!! The real police officers who are visiting next week may learn a thing or two from our very enthusiastic Reception rookies! The firefighters are also visiting so we have many role play experiences planned.

Thank you for your kind donations for Jeans for Genes Day last week, we had a discussion about how and why we acknowledge this charity.
