‘Rushing towards the beautiful bakery, I saw a busy, bustling street’- Arianna
‘Suddenly an enormous, red bus zooms past’- Gabriel
These descriptions describe London. Where else could it be? From the crowds and red buses going past. The children should all be proud of their setting descriptions, complete with similes and metaphors, as well as starting sentences in a variety of ways by using fronted adverbials.
We have been telling the time to the nearest minute and solving time word problems. To solve a word problem, you should read the question carefully and then underline the key information, before proceeding to solve it.
In Science, we dissected a flower to identify the different parts. The children very much enjoyed this activity and we described their role in pollination.
In RE, the children have been describing a Mandir and have written a description of one. The children described different shrines for some Hindu gods and goddesses
In Geography, we have looked at comparing London, Rome and Lima. In order to do so, we have looked at the different landmarks in each location, notable rivers and population. Attached are pictures of the impressive new landmarks the children have designed. The materials ranged from Lego to food.
