Application for Admission to Secondary School

Children born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016 are due to start Year 7 at secondary school in September 2027.

Use the eAdmissions website from 1st September to apply online for your child’s secondary school place. 

The closing date for applications is 31st October 2026.

If you do not live in the borough, you need to apply through your own council and you can include Kingston schools in your application.

If you still need to apply for a school place after the Admissions website has closed in July, please contact the School Admissions team for a paper application.

2026

  • 1st September - Online applications are open via www.eadmissions.org.uk.
  • 31st October - Closing date for on-time applications

2027

  • 1st March - National Offer Day Online 
  • 15th March - Date by which parents must ACCEPT or DECLINE the offer
  • 30th March - Further offers made from this date subject to places available
  • 7th July - Year 6 pupils visit allocated secondary schools

Secondary statistics - March 2026

  • 1,895 applications were made (13 fewer than last year).
  • 96% received one of their preferences (same as last year).
  • 91% received one of their top three preferences (1% lower than last year).
  • 69% received their highest preference offer (4% lower than last year).
