The PE and Sport Premium is government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality of physical education, sport and physical activity opportunities for all pupils.
The funding is intended to help schools develop sustainable improvements in PE provision, increase participation in sport, and ensure that all children have the opportunity to enjoy being active and develop their physical skills.
Schools have the flexibility to use PE and Sport Premium funding in ways that best meet the needs of their pupils. At St Luke’s, the funding is used to enhance the quality of PE teaching, provide additional sporting opportunities, support staff development, improve resources and facilities, and increase participation in competitive and recreational sport.
The impact of this funding is monitored carefully to ensure it leads to improved outcomes for pupils, including increased confidence, enjoyment, participation and physical development.
Please see the reports below for details of how St Luke’s has allocated its PE and Sport Premium funding and the impact this investment has had on our pupils.
