Year 2 impressed us with their class assembly this week – it was very interesting!
They shared what they’ve been learning about inspirational people and their incredible achievements. They kicked things off with a look at Malala Yousafzai and how she won the Nobel Peace Prize for her work in fighting for girls’ education. It was amazing to hear how her story has changed the world.
Then, the children told us all about three explorers – Ibn Battuta, Matthew Henson, and Felicity Aston. We were all really impressed with how much they knew, especially about Felicity Aston, who had the bravery and strength to ski across Antarctica on her own.
The children had such a great time sharing their knowledge with the school and their parents. A huge thank you to Year 2 for such an inspiring and interesting assembly!
