The children took us on a fascinating journey through some of their recent learning, combining facts, creativity and performance in a wonderfully entertaining assembly. From discovering that meerkats can live for more than 10 years to sharing descriptive writing inspired by nature documentaries, there was plenty to capture our attention.

We particularly enjoyed seeing the children bring their learning to life through artwork, expressive poetry and some fantastic singing. Their musical finale was a real highlight, combining singing and drumming to create a brilliant finish to the assembly.

The children also shared a class poem inspired by this year’s National Poetry Day theme of ‘Wonder’, giving us plenty to think about and reminding us how much there is in the world to be curious about.

Well done, Year 6. You should be incredibly proud of your hard work, confidence and creativity!
