    • Year 3 Swimming Kicks Off at Latchmere

    This week, Year 3 began their swimming lessons at the Latchmere teaching pool, and what a fantastic start it has been! Our children have shown enthusiasm, confidence, and a real willingness to challenge themselves in the water.

    Some of their reflections capture the excitement of the sessions:

    • “We get to use floats to help us."
    • "The water is actually really warm."
    • "Really fun!"
    • "The pool is not too deep."
    • "We play fun games in the pool."
    • "We learnt about being safe around water."

    While we would usually use the Kingfisher Pool, it is currently being rebuilt, so the Latchmere pool is providing a safe and welcoming environment for our young swimmers to develop their skills. We are thrilled to see the progress already being made and look forward to many more weeks of splashes, smiles, and growing confidence in the water.
