We are pleased to share some recent improvements to the front of the school. This area has been refreshed to create a more welcoming and organised entrance for our community, as well as a safer and more practical space for pupils, families and visitors.
This year, we have been trialling a soundfield system in our Year 2 classroom. A soundfield system allows the teacher’s voice to be projected evenly around the room through speakers, ensuring that every child can hear clearly, no matter where they are sitting.
Earlier this week, we held a meeting for parents of Year 3 children to share key information about the upcoming residential trip to Sayers Croft in November.
Friday saw our first 'Female Take Over Day' in celebration of International Women's Day which was earlier this month. We welcomed representatives from Fulham Football Club who started the day with a whole school assembly discussing the role girls and boys play in promoting women's football, fair play and equal opportunities.
We are thrilled to congratulate two of our pupils on their fantastic achievements in this year’s Rotary Art Competition!
Today our Year 3 and 4 pupils recently took part in the Lifting Young Voices event at All Saints’ Church. They enjoyed singing together as a group and taking part in the service.
This week, members of the School Council took part in a thermographic workshop organised by the Local Authority and RAFT (Retrofit Action for Tomorrow).
On Friday, the Year 3 and 4 children had an introductory golf session delivered by the Junior Golf Academy. Using specially designed plastic clubs and soft balls, they were introduced to the fundamentals of golf and were guided through a series of fun, skill-based activities.
On Thursday, our school celebrated World Book Day with a day full of creativity, movement, and reading for a great cause! Thanks to the children’s efforts in collecting sponsorship, we were able to raise a huge amount (nearly £2000!) to help replenish and expand the books in our class and school libraries.
Year 4 took us deep into the heart of the rainforest in their recent class assembly.
Thanks to generous donations from “Break the Rules Day”, our pupils enjoyed an exciting day of science workshops led by visiting educators.
