Below is our most recent blog from the nursery. This includes a summary of the two weeks including any important information for the coming weeks (reminders etc). These will be updated every other Friday.
Friday 7 June
Before half term the whole school took part in ‘Outdoor Education Week’. Nursery children learned about healthy eating and the effects of exercise on their bodies. This was great preparation for our Sports Day (Wednesday 26th June - letter to follow) and we will soon start practising different sporting skills so that we are of an Olympic standard!
We also said goodbye to our beautiful painted lady butterflies. The children sang them a song about a tiny caterpillar on a leaf transforming into a butterfly as we watched them fly away. This year, the children have had the opportunity to learn about the life cycles of many different animals. Over the forthcoming weeks we would like to look at the children and how they have grown and changed since they were born. Please can you send in 3 photographs of your child - a baby, a toddler and a recent photo.
The Nursery boat trip will take place on Wednesday 17th July. All children must have a parent or adult accompanying them for that day. Last year we had a fantastic trip and we are very much looking forward to another fun day this year. It is a lovely way to say goodbye before the children start their next adventure in Reception.
