High expectations, by all, for all, reflecting the example of Jesus

Below is our most recent blog from Reception.  This includes a summary of the two weeks including any important information for the coming weeks (reminders etc).  These will be updated every other Friday.

Friday 14 September

What a fantastic start the children have had in Reception! The children have shown resilience, perseverance and masses of confidence! We have been particularly impressed with how the children have adapted to the new routines Reception and school life bring, this has included going out to playtime, eating lunch in the school hall and attending a music lesson with Mrs Chamberlin. The children are also very keen to go to their first worship this Friday.

Within the classroom, the children have been on a whiteboard adventure every day, these adventures have included going to the seaside, a castle and exploring the rides at a funfair. The children have also begun exploring rhyme by creating some really silly rhyming soup!

Next week, the children will experience their first PE lessons so please could you ensure that your child has their PE kit in school. In your child’s PE bag there should be a pair of shorts/trousers, a PE t-shirt and trainers.

If you have any questions at any time, please do you hesitate to ask one of the Reception staff.  ‚Äč
