Parent Information Meeting Presentations -  Giraffes  - Lions

Friday 21 September

Year 1 have had an exciting start to the year. The traditional tale of Robin Hood has come alive as the children took on the roles of the Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hood and his Merry Men. The children have enjoyed acting out different parts of the story and getting into character. ‘Wanted’ Posters have been created to help track down Robin Hood and a letter has been written to the sheriff.

In art, the children have designed and made pinch pots to go on the table for a medieval banquet in connection with our topic of royal homes and castles. Using their senses, the children had an investigative science lesson this week. There were great reactions to the sounds, smells and tastes! Both classes are looking forward to our up-coming trip to Hampton Court Palace to see a real royal home! The children have taken on the new challenges of being in Key Stage One and have adapted well to new routines.
