Friday 18 January

At the end of last term, Year 2 were thrilled when they had a surprise visit from a professional footballer. It was even more exciting for the AFC Wimbledon fans in the class as it was Nick Tzanev, one of their young goalkeepers. He spent time speaking to the class about working hard in all areas of life and trying your best at school, even when you feel challenged. One of the children asked him if he had played in the World Cup and they were amazed to find out that he had indeed played for New Zealand in the under 21s team although he was also studying for his ‘A’ levels.

Excitement continues in the class with rehearsals for our production, ‘Rock Bottom’. So far, the children have done extremely well learning their lines but there is still a long way to go. Please continue to help your child learn their lines and encourage them to do actions to bring their part to life. Your continuing support is very much appreciated.‚Äč
