Parent Information Meeting Presentation - Year 3D - Year 3FW

Friday 21 September

Year 3 have been settling into their new classes nicely and getting used to all of the Key Stage 2 routines. The children have been recapping on their knowledge of place value and practising their times tables in maths.

In English, they learned about the origins and rules of haiku poems and really impressed us with their own versions that they created within the theme of autumn.

Light and shadows is the science topic in year 3 this half term. This week the children actively investigated how light travels in straight lines. They are excited to explore this topic further with lots of fun experiments planned. The children were eager to begin their gymnastics lessons this week, which will continue for the rest of this half term.

Thank you to the parents who came along to the ‘Meet the Teacher’ morning. For anyone who was unable to come, the presentations containing important information are on the school website.
