Last week, children in Year 3 enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day. The costumes were amazing and the effort put in by children and parents did not go unnoticed. The day’s activities included drama, reading with Year 1, a quiz with Year 4 and a live lesson in the afternoon. It was great to see the children displaying their love of reading and books.
Year 3FW demonstrated their learning so far in their wonderful class assembly where the audience were treated to singing, dancing and acting. A lot of hard work went into the rehearsals and it certainly showed! Year 3D will perform their class assembly next Wednesday and it would be great if you could come along!
In science, Year 3 have been getting to grips with their topic ‘forces and magnetism’. They investigated different materials and were surprised to discover that some coins were magnetic while others were not.
Year 3 have continued to read ‘The Iron Man’ and have written some fantastic persuasive letters in the role of the angry farmers.
