Year 4 have had a very eventful and active few weeks. With their class assembly fast approaching, they have been reflecting on their residential trip to Sayers Croft. They have been very diligent when rehearsing for their assembly this week. From learning their lines to practising their singing and perfecting their acting, all members of year 4 have been extremely focused and resilient.
In topic Year 4 have really enjoyed learning about the Vikings. This links with the children’s learning in English as they have been looking at a range of exciting stories about Viking Gods. The interest that these stories sparked allowed the children to create very innovative ideas when creating their own story about Viking Gods.
In science, Year 4 have been learning about teeth and the digestive system and they particularly enjoyed making their own clay teeth! In maths, the children have enjoyed learning about perimeter and they investigated the perimeter of regular and irregular shapes. They finished the week with a small test on perimeter and are excited to start learning about multiplication and division.
