What a busy and fun filled term! The children have been amazing. We are all so pleased with how they settled, independently, into their new routines, playing alongside and together, learning to listen and collaborating.
We follow the children’s interests with the children learning through play. Some of their favourite activities this term have been looking at the natural world - especially in our wildlife garden. Leaves of different colours have been discovered and pressed, bejeweled spider webs and snails have been observed closely, wormeries made, birds fed, spotted, counted and listened out for, pumpkins and squashes investigated and bulbs planted. The children love to play outside no matter the weather, and have become proficient in putting on their own coats and welly boots.
We see kind friends, sharing resources, taking turns, for example, when building large scale structures with all types of resources, from tyres, wooden blocks and crates to large cardboard boxes. Excellent creative and story telling skills, Nursery. Well done.
Each child tried their very best - singing the words and remembering the actions to our Nativity songs, making the performances a joy to watch.
We are so proud of you and your fantastic first term at St Luke’s School.
