Autumn Term Parent Meeting Presentation

Friday 18th September 2020

We are very impressed with how all the children have started in Year 1. We are delighted to see that they are keen to learn all about our first topic which is castles and medieval life.

On Friday, they showed some brilliant teamwork planning, constructing and labelling models of castles. They were very creative making drawbridges and battlements from Lego and wooden blocks.

In Science, the children have been learning about animals and how they are classified into groups. This has included lots of discussion about similarities and differences within the animal world.

The animal theme continues into RE, as Year 1 are learning about Noah's Ark and have come up with responses to questions like 'Why God chose Noah ? and 'Was it fair of him to send the flood ?'
