With the end of the summer term and the academic year fast approaching, Year 4 have never been busier! Production practice is well underway and the children have been enthusiastically preparing for their role of the flying monkeys with their own dance that they are excited to show the audience. They have also done their part in getting props ready for the stage - painting the different colours of the rainbow and sticking them onto a big cardboard cutout.
Ancient Egypt has continued to captivate their imaginations and they have been creating information texts about Ancient Egyptian gods and goddesses in their English lessons.
In maths, the children persevered through the tricky challenge of converting between 12-hour and 24-hour digital time. They noticed how when the time is 1:00pm or later, you add 12 to the hour to convert from 12-hour to 24-hour. They are encouraged to keep practising telling the time, both on an analogue clock and a digital clock.
Arts week has been a big hit across the school with each class focusing on a different element of Kingston. Year 4 visited Kingston Market where they took photographs of the different stalls and then painted onto printed versions.
