Below is our most recent blog. This includes a summary of the last two weeks including any important information for the coming weeks (reminders etc).
The warmer days have enabled the children to enjoy the outdoor area more this week which has been really welcome! They have looked for different flowers growing, inspired by a flower diary they enjoyed looking at. What a treat for nursery, the children met their Year 5 buddies twice in one week. They met in the playground to explore launching different types of rockets using techniques such as blowing, throwing and stamping. This was followed up with a rocket making morning on Wednesday. The children enjoyed using plastic bottles and other junk materials to create their own rockets. The children thoroughly enjoyed this collaboration and finished by singing ‘Zoom, Zoom Zoom, we’re going to the Moon!’
Thank you all for the World Book Day hat creations, the children looked splendid. We focussed on the story of the day, Dinosaur Dave The Not So Brave, having listened to the story they made their own book recalling what they liked or remembered. Once again the class were excited by the visits of the ‘mystery readers’ which is always a delight for all the children. Thank you once again to all the parent volunteers, we look to do it again in the Summer term.
