Below is our most recent blog. This includes a summary of the last two weeks including any important information for the coming weeks (reminders etc).
It is the start of the festive season in school this week, with preparations fully underway! The children have really enjoyed learning the new Nativity songs and actions already, and are motivated by knowing that their loved ones will be watching them very soon!
For the decorations for our class hoops, the children made salt dough and, having mixed and rolled it, they used cutters to make the chosen bauble shapes ready for decorating. You will be able to see their beautiful baubles hanging in the school hall at the Fair.
The 1st December marked the first day of Advent so the children learned what that meant and later opened the first day on the Advent calendar which unfolds the Christmas story each day.
Phonics continues alongside the festive fun and the children are enjoying the Little Wandle phonics program, building good foundations in their understanding in these early stages.
Last week we all wore mismatching socks for the Odd Socks Anti-Bullying charity day. The children learnt that being different is what makes us unique and the children agreed that we are glad of our individuality.
