Please read the following guidance carefully.Regulations state that Headteachers may not grant leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances.Absence is discretionary, not an automatic entitlement. It can only be authorised by the Headteacher.All requests for absence will be considered in the light of a child's attendance history.As parents you have a legal responsibility to ensure your child's attendance at school. During the academic year, pupils are at school for 190 days and at home for 175.Please complete and submit this form BEFORE THE DATE OF REQUESTED ABSENCE if you wish the Headteacher to consider your request. We may ask for proof to validate your request. The Headteacher will consider the reasons for the request and will notify you of the decision.
