Class update from Friday 3^rd July 2026:

Hot Hot! Hot! We survived!

The children demonstrated their resilience last week, coping with the very hot temperatures. Thank you for providing them with suncream, hats and water bottles to help them, and enable us to continue near to normal as possible. We adapted our routines and provision, the children enjoyed lots of water play such as dipping their feet into cold water trays and being sprayed with the hose pipe. They also had a special treat exploring the school and listening to stories in the air conditioned rooms. 

It was a privilege to be included in the school ‘design your dream home’ project with the rest of the school. This project is in collaboration with Bugler Development for the hoardings on the Acre Road site where the school's artwork will be displayed. All the children in Nursery contributed to this, and painted on the three allotted panels from the Nursery children's designs. Their ideas were very creative and included dreams of swimming pools, ball pits, slides and even a dinosaur home!

Our adventure topic has continued, from our long walking adventure, to trains and boats. The children have enjoyed learning lots of rhymes such as A Sailor went to Sea and Row, Row your Boat.
