Below is our most recent blog. This includes a summary of the last two weeks including any important information for the coming weeks (reminders etc).
This week in Reception, we had a very special and emotional moment as we released our two healthy butterflies into the wild! The children carefully watched as Love Heart and Rosey Teddybear spread their wings and flew away into the sunshine. We talked about how butterflies grow and change through their life cycle, and the children were so proud to see our caterpillar project come to life.
We are still taking care of our poorly butterfly, Nemo, who has crumpled wings. The children have shown such kindness and compassion while helping to look after him. We spoke together about how every creature matters and how we should help and care for others, even if they are different or need extra support. The children shared some beautiful ideas about being kind and gentle.
In Maths, we have been using Hit the Button to practise our number bonds to 10. We have become so speedy that some of the children have even managed to beat Miss O’Dea’s high score!
In PE, we have been busy practising for Sports Day. We cannot wait to show off our running, balancing and team skills to you all!
