Class update from Friday 3^rd July 2026:

During D.T. week, the Year 3 classroom has been a buzz of excitement and enthusiasm for the design process of our group Dream Home projects. The children have relished the opportunity to work collaboratively, listening to each other’s’ ideas and sharing their imaginative vision. Great creativity was inspired by their planning discussions and brought about a variety of house designs. There was a range of animal themed, nature inspired and under water world dream houses! The children are all looking forward to seeing their finished boards displayed for all to see in a few weeks’ time.

The preparations for the Key Stage 2 production of Mary Poppins have become a daily feature as we have been working hard on our choreography for our dance scene which features many of our country dancing steps. With Mrs Allan’s guidance and direction, the children have been learning the steps and improving their hand-eye coordination as they clap in time and swing their partner.

In addition to the dancing, Year 3 have been supporting the making of props and set pieces. The classroom has become a flurry of activity with cherry blossom making. The next step will be their own outfits to be decorated.
