Growing Minds in Year 2

Year 2 impressed us all with their class assembly this week – it was both inspiring and incredibly informative.

The children shared their learning about plants and explained what they need in order to grow healthily. They also talked us through the results of their cress experiment, where they investigated how plants grow in different conditions.

As part of their assembly, the children introduced us to three famous explorers – Ibn Battuta, Matthew Henson and Felicity Aston. We were especially impressed by how confidently they spoke about Felicity Aston and her remarkable achievement of skiing across Antarctica alone, showing incredible bravery, determination and resilience.

A huge well done and thank you to Year 2 for such an engaging and memorable assembly!
