Year 1’s Space Adventure

We were treated to a wonderful start to Wednesday with the Year 1 class assembly, which launched their exciting new topic on space.

The children began by performing a lovely space-themed song, sharing lots of fascinating facts about our universe along the way. We then enjoyed listening to the class confidently recite the poem Magic Shoes before being amazed by a highly creative space dance performance in groups. We were incredibly impressed by their enthusiasm, confidence and teamwork throughout.

We were also delighted by the stunning artwork the children created, inspired by the work of David Hockney and the music of Antonio Vivaldi to represent Spring. Well done, Year 1, for such a fantastic and memorable assembly!
