A Day to Bend the Rules

Today we held our first ever Break the Rules Day.

Pupils were able to make small choices to bend the usual school rules, including wearing wacky socks or tights, sporting tops, different shoes or trainers, wild hairstyles, coloured hair bands, nail varnish, temporary tattoos, or bringing a named cuddly toy. Some also had a treat at breaktime or squash in their water bottles.

The day gave children a chance to make decisions for themselves and try something a little different in a safe and supportive environment. It was good to see them engaging with the day in a thoughtful and positive way. We hope that children enjoyed this new experience.
