Lessons from Naaman

We were joined by Keren and Anne from Insight this morning and we heard the story of Naaman from the Old Testament.

Naaman was a strong commander and the head of the army, but he suffered from leprosy and had many sores on his body. His servant girl suggested that he visit another country to be healed. Naaman asked his king for permission to go, and it was granted.

When he arrived, the king of that country was initially unsure about allowing him to be healed, but the prophet Elisha reassured him that it would be okay. Elisha instructed Naaman to wash in the Jordan River seven times, and when he did, he was completely healed!

The story reminded us that we should trust one another and that everyone is important, just like the humble servant who guided Naaman.
