A Moment to Remember

On Tuesday, the normal buzz of the school and the whirring of learning fell silent. All that could be heard was the rustle of leaves, as the school respectfully observed two minutes' silence in commemoration of Armistice Day and all those who have fallen for our freedom.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our School Council Poppy Design Competition. We were very impressed by the creativity and thought that went into each design. Every entry showed a wonderful sense of respect, peace, remembrance and hope — the very qualities that make this time of year so special.

After much deliberation, the School Council is delighted to announce the winners:

Winner: Rupert S (Year 2)

Runner up: Tobias S (Year 6)

Creativity award: Floriane D (Year 5)

Special mentions: Maggie (Year 5), Kiana E (Year 2), Vicky K (Year 6) & Luna W-Q (Year 2)

Well done to our winners and to everyone who entered. Your designs helped us all to pause and reflect on the importance of remembrance.
