Anti-Bullying Day at St Luke’s

This week, the children took part in a special Anti-Bullying event that explored the importance of kindness, courage, and making positive choices.

For KS1 and Lower KS2, the day began with the interactive theatre show The Power of Kindness. Children followed the story of Milly and Philip, best friends facing a challenging situation when some classmates begin to bully Philip. The children discovered how even small acts of kindness can make a big difference and learned that we all have the power to help stop bullying by speaking up and making courageous choices.

Meanwhile, our KS2 pupils took part in the Power for Good workshops. Through immersive role-play, they practised practical skills for responding to conflicts and bullying, including incidents that happen online in Group Chats and Message Groups. They also explored the difference between bullying and ordinary disagreements, and reflected on how each of us can choose to use our power for good.

Together, the theatre show and workshops reinforced our Whole School message that everyone has the ability to make a positive impact. Children left the day inspired to stand up, speak out, and spread kindness both in school and beyond.
