Welcome to St Luke's

Welcome to St Luke's Primary School

St Luke’s Primary School is a happy, caring school. We have much to celebrate and ensure that every child is valued as an individual. The partnership between home and school is vital in supporting children’s learning and we pride ourselves on being a listening school, which actively encourages parental and carer involvement.

Within the context of Christian belief and practice, we aim to serve the community by providing an education of the highest quality. Faith is very important to us and we endeavour to live out our Christian values in our everyday lives.

Most of all, it is our children who make St. Luke’s a special place, and we are proud of all their achievements. We work hard to foster a secure and enjoyable environment which excites, challenges and motivates each child, enabling them to reach their full potential.

St. Luke’s School is an inclusive community of children, staff, parents, governors, friends and colleagues. Everyone works together as a team to provide the best quality education for all children and to equip them with the confidence to embrace our ever-changing world.

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our school. I hope you enjoy looking at our new website. Should you require further information or would like to arrange a visit, do not hesitate to contact us.

    • Extracurricular Clubs

The clubs lists, including waiting lists, for all clubs are now posted on the wooden noticeboard in the playground.

Please note that Year 3 pupils continuing with gymnastics will still be on a Tuesday morning.  It was the only way we could enable the children from Year 3 to continue with their gymnastics club.

If your child had joined a club, but subsequently decides they do not wish to continue, please let the school office know as soon as possible, so a child on the waiting list can join the club instead.

    • Hindleap Warren 2014

On Monday 29th September Year 5 went on their annual residential trip to Hindleap Warren.

Hindleap Warren is an outdoor centre set in the middle of the Ashdown Forrest in Sussex. The grounds extend to over 300 acres making it ideal for the many activities undertaken including orienteering, assault courses (including a network of underground tunnels), archery, climbing and exploring the natural environment to discover exactly who lives there (plant and animals).

During their week at Hindleap the children covered many curriculum areas: science, geography, PE, PSHE, English. It was a very exciting and physically active time which benefits all the children, developing team work and leadership qualities. The staff were inspirational in their role and children discovered many hidden talents.

Hindleap does have a website you may like to visit: www.londonyouth.org.uk/centres/hindleap.html
