PFA Christmas Fair

Full CalendarEvents, Trips and Visits

This event will take place on 02/12/2017

Dear Parents

We hope you are looking forward to this year’s Christmas Fun Day on the 2nd December, and to taking part in our Christmas competitions (see below). As with all our school fairs, we rely on the generosity of parents and friends to donate what they can, to help raise money for the school. This year we will be collecting donations during the week commencing 27th November. The timetable is below.

Please leave all donations (other than cakes, mince pies etc) in the trolleys outside the music room (KS1 side of the school) on the right day, as this really helps the class managing those items.

Day Donations:

Mon 27 Nov:  FILLED CUPS

Empty cups will be issued during w/c 20 Nov. Please fill with sweets, pocket money toys, pens, pencils, and rubbers etc. If you have more than a cup full, that you want to donate, please just add in a plastic bag. The cups are SO popular, so any extra's are gratefully received. PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE A NUT FREE SCHOOL

Tues 28 Nov: HAMPER GOODS

This can be anything we can put in a Christmas Hamper - jars, chocolates, oils, vinegars, cordials, teas, coffee, biscuits, olives, shortbread, crackers, breadsticks, jams, chutneys, etc. Anything you can spare - nothing fresh please.

Weds 29 Nov: SECRET GIFTS

We want your unwanted gifts - didn’t like smell of that perfume or box of smellies? Allergic to that wool scarf?? Have double of a particular toy?? We want them for our secrets stall, where the children can come in and  buy a present for a relative or friend, in secret, and have it wrapped by one of our helpers.

Please remember these are items in new, unopened condition.

Thurs 30 Nov: CHOCOLATES

Donations of bars or boxes of chocolates … This will be for the chocolate tombola - so decent enough to make kids want to buy a raffle ticket! PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE A NUT FREE SCHOOL

Fri 1 Dec - BOTTLES

It will be nutty day (non-uniform day) on this day, so instead of bringing in £1, please bring in your unwanted bottles. Booze, non-alcoholic, vinegars, oils, smellies etc - any bottles you want to donate, we are grateful of! This will be for our very popular bottle tombola.

Sat 2 Dec DAY OF THE FAIR / CAKES, PIES ETC - The school would be ever so grateful for donations of Cakes, mince pies and any other donations that have been missed. School will be open from 10 am.

CHRISTMAS COMPETITION

CHRISTMAS OUTFITS

We will be running a Christmas jumper, Christmas onesie or outfit competition with prizes on the day for the most Christmassy kids and grownups.

KS1 – DESIGN A WRAPPING PAPER

For KS1 we are holding a competition to design a Christmas wrapping paper. Designs should be A4 in size (portrait or landscape) and any medium can be used, the more colourful the better.

KS2 – DESIGN A CHRISTMAS TREE STAR OR ANGEL

For KS2 - We’d love the children to design the St Luke’s Xmas tree star or angel. To be designed on A4 card.

Please return wrapping papers and Christmas designs to school on the Saturday morning by 11am, making sure to add your child’s name and class. BEST OF LUCK!

Thank you, Kate Gilbert
